Maribel’s Masks (Batiks)
Genuine Batik
Batik is an ancient technique in which patterns are painted or stamped on fabric using wax. The fabric is then soaked in dye, which colors only the un-waxed areas. After the dye cures, the wax is removed with boiling water, leaving a pattern. The process can be repeated with multiple colors. This time-consuming and expensive process is often imitated, but our genuine batik masks are the real thing. Available in limited quantities for a premium price.
